As a kid, I wanted to play every sport out there. I was always very active, and sitting still was a challenge. But it did not hit me until young adulthood just how much fitness and health meant to me. I dove in head first on my own journey and quickly learned I wanted to help others experience and feel the same things I did. Crossfit has given me strength in so many ways. It has also given me confidence and shown me that I’m capable of so much more than I think I am. That’s why I do it.
My turning point came when I realized I was not doing it for the revenge body anymore. I wanted to be healthy and strong. Although my journey did not start at a Crossfit gym, I had heard about it for years. But I was always scared to try. I was lucky enough to take my first class with my mom, who was already a member at a gym. I loved how the coach scaled and modified the workout for us so that we could do it together. That was the moment I knew I wanted to learn more. Crossfit meets you where you are, and that is really what sold me!
I’ve coached many places over the last 8 years, and I've had quite the journey. But the one thing that has remained the same is the undeniable joy that comes after a big win. It’s fulfilling to see people light up after a big lift or mastering a skill they have been working on for a bit. Those moments remind me why I love coaching and fuel my passion to help others push the limits to achieve their goals.
